Dr. Mags McInerney earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and an MBA from the University of Miami. She has spent more than 30 years in the IVD industry, developing products for the central lab, near-patient testing, and home use, both in the US and in Europe. She has held positions leading R&D teams for a variety of programs and has also established and grown Technical Support and Clinical Affairs teams. She began her career at Baxter Dade in Switzerland as a bench scientist.

Since then she has worked with increasing levels of responsibility at companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Trinity Biotech and finally at Diagnostica Stago as Scientific Director. She currently works as a consultant in the in-vitro diagnostics space providing guidance to start-up companies to bring new products from feasibility, through product development to commercialization.
